The markets today opened with a significant gap up on the back of positive global cues. All the sectorial indices are trading in green in the opening trade. The Asian markets are trading mixed today as Shanghai Composite, Hang Seng and Straits Times index are trading up by (0.45%), (1.53%) and (1.35%) respectively. However, the Nikkei and Straits Times index are trading down by (0.65%) and (0.22%) respectively. The BSE Sensex is now trading above the 9,000 mark and the NSE Nifty trading above the 2,800 mark.
