Crude prices ended lower for the fifth straight session on Monday, however the heating oil prices rose due to extreme cold weather but currently ample inventories weighed and investors shrugged off forecasts that oil demand will rise this year.Saudi Arabia said that oil demand in 2011 in emerging countries could catch up with the developed world but on the same time raised concern about price rise.

Global oil demand is expected to rise between 1.5 million to 1.8 million barrels per day in 2011, Saudi Arabia's Ali al-Naimi told an industry conference in Riyadh. Meanwhile in US the National Weather Service forecast has said that heating demand this week is expected to be 5.3 percent above normal, due to extremely cold weather in the Northeast.
