भारतीय रुपया 10 फ़रवरी को एक फर्म पर डॉलर की तुलना में पन्द्रह पैसे कम पर 48.72 /73 पर ताजा पूंजी प्रवाह बावजूद बंद हुआ। अमेरिकी सरकार द्वारा $ 829 बिलियन आर्थिक सुधार पैकेज की उम्मीदों को भी रुपए पर मापा गया । इस इन्तेर्बंक विदेशी मुद्रा बाजार में, घरेलू यूनिट 48.68/69 प्रति डॉलर पर खुला और अंततः 48.72 /73 पर फिसल गई। रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया ने रु 48.70 में अमेरिकी डॉलर और 62.54 रुपए पर यूरो के लिए दर तय की ।


English Translation

The Indian rupee on Feb 10 closed lower by fifteen paise at 48.72/73 as compared to the greenback on a firm dollar overseas despite fresh capital inflows. The expectations of $829 bn economic recovery package by US government also weighed on the rupee. At the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, the domestic unit opened lower at 48.68/69 per dollar and slipped further to finally settle at 48.72/73. The Reserve Bank of India, however, fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at Rs 48.70 and for the euro at Rs 62.54.
