बेंगलुरु: शहर में मेट्रो रेल सेवा का परिचालन देश के प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह द्वारा अगले महीने के मध्य में भारत में परियोजना को झंडा दिखाने के बाद शुरू हो जाएगी|

बंगलौर मेट्रो रेल निगम लिमिटेड (बीऍमआरसीएल ) के प्रबंध निदेशक, एन सिवासैलम ने कहा, "नाममा मेट्रो" सेवा (रीच-1) के पहले चरण शुरू होगी| अस्थायी प्रक्षेपण की तिथी 15 सितम्बर या प्रधानमंत्री की सुबिधा के आधार पर सितम्बर 17 हो सकती हैं| दक्षिण मध्य रेलवे के रेलवे सुरक्षा आयुक्त (डी.के. सिंह) मेट्रो की सुविधा का निरीक्षण, स्टेशनों, सिगनल प्रणाली और यात्रियों की सुविधा, सुरक्षा उपायों सहित, 4-6 सितम्बर उन्हें संचालन के लिए प्रमाणित करेंगे| हमने इसका उद्घाटन करने के लिए रेलवे बोर्ड से प्रशस्त मार्ग की मंजूरी हासिल करने की अंतिम तिथि के रूप में सितम्बर 10 निर्धारित की है|"

BANGALORE: The city's Metro Rail Service will start operations after the country's Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will flag off the project to India in the middle of the next month.

N Sivasailam, Managing Director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL), said, “The first phase (Reach-1) of the 'Namma Metro’ service will commence. The tentative launch dates are Sep 15 or Sep 17 depending on his (PM) convenience. The railway safety commissioner (D.K. Singh) of South Central Railway will inspect the Metro facility, stations, signalling system and commuter facilities, including security measures, Sep 4-6 to certify them for commencing operations. We have set Sep 10 as the last date for securing Railway Board clearance to pave way for its inaugural run.”
