Chana futures have extended their fall in new week; higher levels could not be sustained due to relentless profit booking. Traders however expect rates to firm up in coming days on rising Festive demand. The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 3076.00, down by 0.32% or Rs 10.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3086.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 148680 lots. The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 3175.00, down by 0.31% or Rs 10.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3185.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 285440 lots on NCDEX.
